Who runs it

The person who launched the app does so under the YouTube name Antic. The terms do not give a legal name. This page uses the name he publishes, the company the terms name, and the addresses the terms print. It does not add an age, a home address, or a legal name the project has not put on its own pages.

Antic

The product was introduced on the YouTube channel Antic. The video descriptions list the business address as anticsdevs@gmail.com and, from the second video on, a Ko-fi at ko-fi.com/yapperz. When the channel page was indexed in October 2026 the description was "I make game-related stuff." The videos beside the Yapper series are short gaming clips. The Yapper videos are the ones that spread: about 1.1 million views on the 11 October post, then 138,000 and 154,000 on the follow-ups, as reported by YouTube when those pages were fetched on 25 October 2026. The channel had on the order of 15,000 subscribers at that fetch.

In the 24 October video he says "Yapper officially has an LLC. So, now we're professional businessmen." The terms date that handover to 20 October, four days before the video, and they put the personal operation in writing:

Until 20 October 2026 it was run by its founder personally. Yapper Media LLC has taken over the Service and these Terms (see "Assignment" in section 24); your rights stay the same.

Section 24 says the operator may transfer the contract, for example to a company set up to run the service, as long as the user's rights are not reduced, and that they will tell you if that happens. For the first nine days, including the video that sent people to the site, the counterparty on the terms was an unnamed person. Plus is described in the 23 October announcement as one of the things shipped since 16 October, which is before the LLC date. This record does not have a receipt showing who charged the first payments.

A web search on 25 October 2026, using the channel name, the Gmail address, "Yapper Media LLC," and the app's domains, did not surface a prior company, a court case, or a legal name tied to this operator. The public record of this person starts with this app: the claims, the documents, and the two-week launch.

Yapper Media LLC

Terms section 2, privacy policy, and the announcement all name the same operator:

Yapin' is run by Yapper Media LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States. Yapin' is run day to day from the Czech Republic; our postal address in the EU is Yapper Media LLC, K Brance 1173/15, 155 00 Prague, Czech Republic.

Contact for users, legal notices, reports, appeals, and refunds is hello@yapin.gg. Police and courts are pointed at legal@yapin.gg. The terms say they communicate in English and Czech, and that this inbox is their point of contact for the EU Digital Services Act.

131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware 19713 is a commercial registered-agent suite. Public filings for unrelated companies list that suite as their Delaware address, often care of Legalinc Corporate Services Inc. It is the sort of address a formation service gives every new LLC. It is not evidence of a staffed office in Newark, and the terms do not claim one. They say day-to-day operation is in the Czech Republic. The Prague street address is the postal address they chose to print. This site does not describe the building, and it does not treat a published mailing address as a home address.

Delaware LLC filings do not, by default, publish the members. Nothing on yapper.website names an officer. "Yapper Media LLC" remained the company name after the product stopped being called Yapper.

The name lasted eleven days

Announcement, dated 23 October 2026:

We renamed Yapper to Yapin'. The name Yapper ran into a trademark problem, so we picked one that is ours. The site now lives at yapin.gg. yapper.website keeps working and takes you to the same place.

The terms date the rename to 22 October 2026. The announcement does not name the other party, the mark, or the country. The operator has not published the letter.

"Yapper" was already a crowded name in software before this app existed. One example on the US trademark register: serial 99426164, the word mark YAPPER, filed 2 October 2025 by Yapper World Inc. for "recorded software for use in social networking." Trademarkia's docket, as of 24 August 2026, still showed that application live and suspended. That filing's correspondence address is the same Newark suite. The suite is used by a large number of unrelated companies, so a shared registered-agent address does not show that Yapper World Inc. and Yapper Media LLC are the same people, and it does not show that this is the mark that forced the rename. It does show that a social-networking software application for the word Yapper was already pending a year before Antic picked the name because it was "pretty short" and close to Discord.

Other live or registered YAPPER marks cover unrelated goods, from supplements to telephony. The announcement's claim is only that a problem existed. The public part is that they launched under the name anyway, kept it on the company and on the email domain, and told users to keep saying it.

The code is not available to check

Terms section 10: the software belongs to them, reverse engineering is forbidden except where the law allows it, and "some parts of our software are open-source and are covered by their own licences." The terms do not name those parts or link a repository.

A GitHub search on 25 October 2026 for yapin.gg, yapper.website, and "Yapper Media" returned third-party bot libraries, userscripts, and unofficial desktop wrappers. It did not return an official client or server. Under the 24 October video, @CC-ep2bq asks him to publish the source so people can run something like it for their friends. @therealtmr asks him to show the coding. Replying to the source request, @2763CakeAtStake writes that he will not, "because then people will be able to physically see that it was all made with AI." That reply is a guess from a viewer.

The vibe-coding claim is also an allegation, repeated by users who cannot see the repo. On 23 October, Reddit user kUSHIXRUSHI posted "Yapper.website is horrible (atleast for me)" and wrote that the owner "pushes whatever his claude code thing approves." The concrete complaints in that post are UI ones: overlapping buttons, a settings screen that shows the text "Opening settings," empty avatars while images load, and slow image loading. The post calls the stack Next.js. The site is a Next.js app on Vercel, which matches the privacy policy's "Vercel" line and the /_next/ paths on the homepage. A popular framework having had security advisories is not, by itself, a finding about this app.

Under the 17 October video, @BubhahaCoolio asks "Are you a vibecoder" and @milktheteal answers "yes he is since yapper is vibecoded." Neither the comments nor the Reddit post are the founder admitting a tool. He has not published a build log. What is observable without the source is the pace: a Discord-shaped client, voice, screen share, bots, a desktop app, a subscription, and a long legal policy, with the operator reporting 800 bug reports fixed in a single week, starting from a domain registered on 11 October.

What a user in the United States agrees to

Terms section 21 is a binding arbitration agreement and a class-action waiver for people who live in the United States. Disputes go to individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's consumer rules, with a small-claims exception and an intellectual-property injunction exception. You waive a jury trial and the right to join a class action. If 25 or more similar disputes are filed by the same or coordinated counsel, they are batched. Claims must be brought within one year, to the extent the law allows that limit. You can opt out of the arbitration agreement only: email hello@yapin.gg, subject "Arbitration opt-out," with your name and username, within 30 days after you first accept the terms. Opting out leaves the rest of the terms in place.

Section 19 caps total liability, to the extent the law allows, at the greater of what you paid them in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars. Section 18 provides the service "as is" and "as available," and tells you to keep your own copies of anything important. Section 22 says Delaware law governs, with a carve-out so consumers in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland keep the mandatory law of the country where they live and can sue there.

Those clauses are ordinary in US consumer terms. They sit on a product whose homepage says "no catch," whose video presents the author as one person who got tired of a large company's paywalls, and whose company was formed in the same week as the terms.

Money, besides the subscription

Plus is $4.99 a month, per the Plus page fetched 25 October 2026. Gifts are one, three, or twelve months. Supercharge, Server Plus, boosts, promoted slots, and bot hosting have prices "shown at checkout" or "on the Hosting tab." Those prices were not on a public page fetched for this record, so they are not repeated here. The developer docs say a Plus subscriber may get one small hosted bot free, and that hosting plans are Small (256 MB RAM) and Large (1 GB RAM).

Shards are an in-app currency earned by activity and by inviting friends. Terms section 9.11: they have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, or cashed out, and can be taken away if they were earned by breaking the rules. The guidelines ban farming Shards with alternate accounts. The privacy policy says they do not currently sell Shards for money. This is not a crypto token. A different product that uses the name Yapper has been discussed in connection with a token. That discussion is about the other product.

Terms section 9.12 describes a Creator Program that, as of the 23 October announcement, was still "coming soon." Rewards are Plus time and badges, not wages. The terms say content made for the program "is an advertisement for Yapin'" and must be labeled as an ad on the platform where it appears. The launch so far has been the founder's own channel, with a Ko-fi link under the videos.
